    Police and Inmates Clash at Denham Town Lock-Up, Officers Pelted with Faeces and Urine

    KINGSTON, Jamaica – 4 law enforcement officials and several other inmates have been despatched to hospital Wednesday morning following a violent confrontation on the Denham City Police lock-up.

    Round 9:30 a.m., officers entered a cell to retrieve objects and have been met with resistance from prisoners, who reportedly threw faeces, urine, and water on the legislation enforcement personnel.

    Authorities mentioned the police used applicable less-lethal pressure to guard themselves throughout the altercation. A number of accidents have been reported on each side.

    The 4 officers and an unspecified variety of inmates have been transported to Kingston Public Hospital for therapy. Officers haven’t supplied updates on the severity of the accidents.

    The matter stays underneath investigation as police proceed to evaluation the circumstances surrounding the incident.
