    Kingston Man Facing Multiple Charges After Woman Assaulted and Robbed

    KINGSTON, Jamaica — A 35-year-old man has been slapped with a number of prison costs following an alleged assault and theft that occurred on Valentine’s Day alongside West Road within the capital.

    The accused, Christopher Chambers, in any other case known as “Zeeks,” of Waltham Park Highway, Kingston, faces costs of assault at widespread legislation, theft with aggravation, possession of a prohibited weapon, utilizing a firearm to commit a felony, illegal wounding, and assault occasioning bodily hurt.

    In response to police reviews, the incident occurred about 10:35 p.m. on Saturday, February 14. Investigators allege that Chambers approached a girl, forcibly grabbed her, and violently squeezed her throat. He reportedly brandished a firearm and used it to strike her a number of instances, leaving her with bruises and swelling.

    Authorities additional reported that the accused stole the lady’s purse containing $71,000 in money, together with private gadgets valued at roughly $20,000.

    The injured lady was assisted by passersby and later reported the matter to the police. Chambers was taken into custody on Sunday and formally charged.

    A courtroom date is now being organized.
