President of the Non-public Sector Group of Jamaica, Patrick Hylton says though the non-public sector has proven outstanding resilience over time, focus have to be positioned on how corporations are being managed.

Mr Hylton acknowledges that whereas resilience is an efficient attribute for companies to own, it’s inadequate, if true progress is to be realised.

He says progress should begin inside the firm, earlier than it’s realised elsewhere.

He was talking through the Finest Managed Firms 2026 and Sponsor Signing Ceremony on the PSOJ’s Kingston workplace yesterday.

The Finest Managed Programme, which operates in additional than 45 international locations worldwide, together with Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica, acknowledges privately-owned corporations, that exhibit excellent enterprise efficiency, robust management and excellence in technique, tradition, innovation and governance.
