    GraceKennedy renames headquarters The Don Wehby Building on 104th Anniversary

    The GraceKennedy (GK) household celebrated the Firm’s 104th anniversary on Friday, with the renaming of its headquarters at 42–56 Harbour Road as The Don Wehby Constructing, in honour of former Group CEO, Don Wehby.

    The choice to rename the headquarters was first introduced through the thirty first Non-public Sector Organisation of Jamaica’s Corridor of Fame induction in December 2025, the place Mr. Wehby was honoured for his transformative impression on the Jamaican enterprise panorama.

    Talking on the renaming ceremony, Group CEO Frank James mirrored on Wehby’s ardour for the Harbour Road headquarters challenge, which was constructed throughout his tenure as Group CEO and opened in 2019 as a J$3.25 billion funding in downtown Kingston.

    James additionally recalled how Wheby made positive employees gained certification and expertise that might serve them for years.

    Within the meantime, Chairman of the Board, Gordon Shirley, described the choice to rename the constructing as deliberate and significant.

    He defined that the renaming is in recognition of Wehby’s legacy of management, which he famous was considerate, forward-looking and grounded in honesty, integrity and belief.

    He added that the renaming is an everlasting acknowledgement of Wheby’s contribution to GraceKennedy, downtown Kingston and Jamaica.
