    Culture Minister lauds Bob Clarke for his contributions to growth of reggae music and Jamaica’s number 1 radio station IRIE FM

    The late veteran broadcaster, Walter Bob Clarke has been recognised for his contributions to the expansion of reggae music in addition to Jamaica’s #1 radio station, IRIE FM.

    Tradition and Leisure Minister, Olivia Grange praised Bob Clarke through the Reggae Month church service, at Fellowship Tabernacle, in Kingston immediately.

    Mr Clarke, who was awarded the Order of Distinction in 2018 for many years of contribution to Jamaican media, died on Tuesday January 27.

    He was 75.

    Bob Clarke was part of IRIE FM’s early administration workforce and hosted the favored Sunday afternoon programme Reminiscences till his time on the firm led to 2020.

    Ms. Grange mentioned Bob Clarke helped to make sure that IRIE FM acquired its licence.
