    PM Holness assures government will provide budget to equip all police formations with body-worn cameras

    Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness has assured that the federal government will provide the police drive with the mandatory price range to make sure all formations are geared up with body-worn cameras.

    Talking at at the moment’s passing-out parade and awards ceremony, Dr. Holness acknowledged the considerations raised about physique cameras.

    He stated the usage of expertise within the drive is key to crime combating, intelligence gathering and neighborhood engagement.

    Dr. Holness stated the Jamaica Constabulary Drive has been proactive in securing the very best technological ecosystem to help the total deployment of physique cameras.  

    He famous that it’s the federal government’s intention to supply the drive with all of the gear it wants.  

    Dr. Holness burdened that the federal government is investing within the drive.
