    Campion College Honours Long-Serving Staff – Jamaica Information Service

    Fifty-four educators and assist workers at Campion School who’ve given greater than 10 years of service have been honoured on the establishment’s long-service awards ceremony held on Monday night (January 12).

    The honourees, who served for a mixed 1,046 years, embrace former board chairman Anton Thompson; former principals, Grace Baston and Radley Reid; 35 lecturers, 11 assist workers and one coach.

    Minister of Training, Abilities, Youth and Info, Senator the Hon. Dana Morris Dixon, who addressed the operate held at The Jamaica Pegasus resort in New Kingston, recommended the award recipients, a few of whom have served as much as 40 years on the establishment.

    She famous that the operate is a celebration of excellence in schooling and faculty management.

    “Campion School is considered one of our top-performing faculties in Jamaica… and it doesn’t occur accidentally. Excellence is actually deliberate. You must have good leaders, good chairs, good principals, and that’s what [we] are honouring tonight – that lengthy trajectory of getting actually good leaders at this college. I feel it’s a very good instance for us within the Ministry of what we are attempting to do throughout the system, which is to make sure we’ve robust management in our faculties,” Dr. Morris Dixon mentioned.
