Kingston – Justice Leighton Pusey is about to rule at the moment on whether or not Constable Noel Maitland has a case to reply within the homicide of his girlfriend, Donna-Lee Donaldson, and the cost of stopping the lawful burial of her physique.

Donaldson, 24, disappeared in July 2022. Maitland mentioned she left his Chelsea Manor residence after an argument over a photograph of the mom of his baby.

In the course of the trial, the Crown introduced proof together with bloodstains in Maitland’s New Kingston residence matching Donaldson’s DNA and testimony a few couch washed with what seemed to be blood. Relations recounted her final recognized sightings, whereas the defence recommended she might have left the island, been trafficked, or kidnapped, and questioned the DNA proof.

The prosecution is led by Director of Public Prosecutions Claudette Thompson. Maitland is represented by King’s Counsel Larry Smith and a authorized group.
