    Motorists using roadways in St. Ann, St. Mary and Portland urged to exercise caution due to flooding after heavy rains

    Street customers in St. Ann, St. Mary and Portland are being urged to train warning in travelling alongside some corridors right now.

    The Nationwide Works Company (NWA) stated it’s because persistent rainfall has resulted in flooding, blocked drains and siltation impacting roads.

    NWA Supervisor of Communication Stephen Shaw stated the impacted areas are principally alongside the coast between Ocho Rios, St. Ann and Port Antonio, Portland.

    The jap parishes are being impacted by rains related to a trough.

    In St. Mary, flooding is being skilled in Rio Nuevo, Stewart City and Port Maria.

    The Mom Ford Drain in Annotto Bay can also be at capability.

    Mr. Shaw stated the principle street via St. Margaret’s Bay, Orange Bay and Windsor Citadel are amongst corridors in Portland being impacted.

    Motorists are being reminded to keep away from trying to make use of closely flooded roads, whereas pedestrians are being urged to keep away from utilizing the affected corridors.
