    Health Ministry provides psychosocial support to over 3400 citizens, following Hurricane Melissa

    The Ministry of Well being says it offered psychosocial assist to over 3400 residents, in addition to over 500 well being care staff, within the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa. 

    This was to assist them deal with the emotional trauma, grief, nervousness, and stress attributable to the hurricane. 

    Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Jacquiline Bisasor-McKenzie says the ministry partnered with a number of teams to offer the assist, particularly to residents of excessive danger communities. 

    She says groups will go to communities frequently, to offer assist. 

    She is reminding residents that in the event that they need assistance, they’ll name the ministry’s helpline at 888-639-5433 or textual content ‘assist’ to the U Matter chat line” at 876-838-4897.
