    Beloved Jamaican Ex-Corrections Officer Fatally Struck by Moped in Queens

    QUEENS, NEW YORK — A 68-year-old Jamaica-born man was tragically struck and killed by a moped whereas standing in a marked crosswalk in Queens on Friday.

    The deceased, former corrections officer Trevor Lloyd Samuels, was hit on the intersection of East 93rd Avenue and 168th Road. The incident occurred simply days earlier than he was reportedly scheduled to journey to Jamaica, the place he deliberate to deliver his younger daughter to New York for the upcoming Christmas holidays.
