    Official funeral for late reggae singer Jimmy Cliff to be held Wednesday December 17 in Kingston

    The official funeral service for the late reggae singer, Jimmy Cliff, will probably be held on Wednesday December 17 on the Nationwide Indoor Sports activities Centre, in Kingston.

    The service is to start at 10 AM.

    Tradition, and Leisure Minister Olivia Grange, made the announcement at this time.

    Jimmy whose actual identify is James Chambers died on November 24, on the age of 81.

    Ms Grange mentioned Jimmy is being accorded an official funeral by the Authorities “for his immense contribution to Jamaican tradition and leisure,”

    The preparations are being finalised by the Workplace of the Prime Minister in session with the Tradition Ministry and the household of the acclaimed musician, singer and actor.

    The service will function solely spoken phrase, dance and music in line with Jimmy’s needs.
