    Lexus driver killed in hit-and-run crash on state Route 125

    A younger man was killed Wednesday in a two-vehicle hit-and-run collision on a Spring Valley freeway, authorities stated.

    California Highway Patrol officers responded to northbound state Route 125 south of Troy Avenue at about 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, the place they found a Lexus that had veered off the freeway and hit a tree, based on Officer Jasmine Lopez.

    “For causes nonetheless below investigation, the motive force of the Lexus unsafely modified lanes and crashed into an unknown light-colored sedan,” Lopez stated. “The motive force of the Lexus misplaced management and drove up the east embankment and collided right into a tree.”

    The 21-year-old Spring Valley man who was driving the Lexus died. The CHP didn’t launch his title.

    One witness to the crash reported seeing the opposite automobile cease on the east shoulder after the crash, with the motive force exiting, then re-entering the car and fleeing northbound on SR-125, based on the CHP.

    It was unknown if medication and/or alcohol have been an element within the crash, or if anybody else was injured. The investigation is ongoing.

    “Fleeing the scene of a crash isn’t solely a prison offense, however it’s a betrayal of the accountability each driver has to others on the street,” CHP Capt. Michael Monteagudo stated. “Should you’re concerned in a crash, cease when it’s protected to take action, present support if wanted, and phone emergency providers.”
