On a gap evening during which they unfurled a Closing 4 banner from the rafters of the Fertitta Heart, Kelvin Sampson earned his 800th profession win and second-ranked Houston dealt with visiting Lehigh 75-57 on Monday evening.
Over a 36-year profession teaching at Montana Tech, Washington State, Oklahoma, Indiana and Houston, Sampson now has compiled a document of 800-354, together with final season’s run to the NCAA championship recreation.
