ST JAMES, Jamaica — A Hanover man who works as a butler has been charged in reference to a multi-million-dollar armed theft that rocked St James again in June.

Charged with theft with aggravation and illegal wounding is 31-year-old Nicoy Ramsay, in any other case known as ‘Nick’, of Esher, Hanover.

Studies are that about 8:30 p.m., two staff of a buying and selling firm had been travelling in a motor truck when, upon reaching the intersection of Higher Bevon Avenue and Market Circle, Ramsay and one other armed man allegedly pounced.

The boys reportedly robbed the staff of roughly $7 million. Throughout the ordeal, one of many attackers is claimed to have struck the motive force, leaving him with a bleeding wound.

The incident was reported to the police and an investigation was launched. On Wednesday, September 17, Ramsay, accompanied by his legal professional, surrendered on the Negril Police Station. He was later handed over to St James detectives and charged after being identified throughout an identification parade.

His court docket date is being finalised.
