Kingston, Jamaica – The Nationwide Works Company (NWA) is advising motorists that Central Avenue in St. Andrew will likely be closed for 10 hours on Saturday and Sunday to facilitate essential drainage enchancment works.

The closure will run from 8:00 a.m. to six:00 p.m. every day.

Central Avenue is a significant hyperlink between Fixed Spring Street and West Avenue, and in addition offers entry to The Queen’s Excessive College.

In response to Stephen Shaw, Supervisor of Communication and Buyer Providers on the NWA, the venture is aimed toward lowering the frequent flooding issues that plague the roadway after heavy rains. The works are anticipated to proceed on the weekend of October 4 and 5.

Through the closure interval, no vehicular site visitors will likely be allowed from Fixed Spring Street onto Central Avenue. Nevertheless, residents will be capable to entry their property through West Avenue.

The NWA is urging motorists to train warning, obey the directions of flagmen, and take note of all posted warning indicators.
