    Thirty Haitians Repatriated After Landing in Portland

    Portland, Jamaica – Thirty Haitians who have been a part of a gaggle that landed on a seaside in Kensington, Portland, on Sunday, September 22, have been repatriated.

    The group, which included youngsters, was moved from a holding space in Manchioneal to the Boundbrook Wharf facility beneath police escort, the place they boarded a Jamaica Defence Power (JDF) Coast Guard vessel sure for Haiti earlier right now.

    Police studies point out that 5 extra Haitians, who got here ashore with the group, stay at massive. Lawmen have intensified their search throughout the parish in an effort to find them.

    In accordance with studies, the Haitians fled their homeland attributable to escalating political unrest, gang violence, persecution, famine, and lack of financial alternatives.

    Following the unlawful touchdown on Sunday, joint operations between the police and the JDF have been launched throughout Portland. Over the course of three days, a complete of 30 Haitians have been captured and have since been despatched again.

    The police say operations will proceed till the remaining 5 Haitians are discovered.
