Clarendon, Jamaica – Detectives are probing a dramatic incident in Osbourne Retailer, Clarendon, after a former soldier was shot and a suspected explosive gadget found on Tuesday afternoon.
Studies are that about 1 p.m., the ex-Jamaica Defence Drive (JDF) member, who hails from York City, went to an auto components retailer demanding a refund for faulty automotive components he had beforehand bought.
Police say the person arrived carrying a black plastic bag which he claimed contained a bomb. He allegedly threatened to explode the institution if his calls for weren’t met.
Investigators report that he tried to enter the workplace when the enterprise proprietor, who’s a licensed firearm holder, opened fireplace, capturing him within the shoulder.
The injured man was taken to hospital beneath police guard, and the suspected gadget was secured by lawmen pending additional examination.
Police investigations are ongoing.
