    130,000-Gallon Water Tank Commissioned to Boost Irrigation in Manchester – Jamaica Information Service

    Farmers in Manchester will now have entry to extra water, particularly during times of drought, following the commissioning of a 130,000-gallon sectional water tank by Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Mining, Hon. Floyd Inexperienced, on August 15.

    Talking throughout a ceremony on the Nationwide Irrigation Fee Restricted (NIC) New Forest Workplace in Manchester, Minister Inexperienced described the tank’s set up as a “vital funding”, which can have a optimistic impression on the livelihoods of farmers within the space.

    He disclosed that the newly put in tank holds 230 per cent extra water than the capability of the earlier facility.
