    2,000 Pounds of Suspected Stolen Meat Seized in St. James — Two in Custody

    ST. JAMES, Jamaica (Mckoy’s Information) — Two males are in police custody after 2,000 kilos of suspected stolen meat, together with beef and pork, had been discovered throughout a raid in Lilliput on Friday afternoon.

    The operation, carried out by Space One police, the Agricultural Safety Department (APB), and the St. James Well being Division, uncovered the meat saved in a freezer on the premises.

    In line with Appearing ACP Oral Pascoe, the meat had no inspection stamps and is believed to be the results of praedial larceny.

    “This meat wasn’t processed by means of a slaughterhouse — it’s a well being threat and against the law scene in a freezer,” stated Pascoe.

    The APB head additionally warned that stolen livestock helps gang exercise, and vowed to maintain focusing on unlawful meat distributors throughout the island.
