Kingston, Jamaica (Mckoy’s Information) — A 22-year-old police constable connected to the Hunts Bay Police Station discovered himself on the improper aspect of the legislation Thursday night, after he allegedly arrived for responsibility carrying two plastic luggage containing gadgets believed to be contraband.

Studies reaching Mckoy’s Information are that the younger constable was scheduled to start his shift at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2025, when he walked into the station with the baggage in hand. He reportedly positioned them on a steel desk close to the lockup cell entrance — a location identified to be closely monitored.

His actions didn’t go unnoticed. A fellow officer on responsibility noticed the baggage and, sensing one thing wasn’t proper, alerted a supervisor.

A search was rapidly carried out within the presence of the constable, and the contents of the baggage raised severe considerations.

The next gadgets had been reportedly discovered:

    • Vegetable matter resembling ganja
    • Substance believed to be tobacco
    • Assorted rizzlers
    • Eight lighters
    • Two telephone chargers
    • One plastic bottle containing a transparent liquid, believed to be rum
    • One cellphone
    • A tube of lightening gel
    • One packet of bio gel brightening cream

The officer was taken into custody on the spot. Investigators have since launched a probe into the incident, and a file is being ready to be submitted to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for a ruling — a required step in issues involving members of the constabulary.

This incident has sparked renewed requires stricter oversight of inner operations, significantly in high-risk services equivalent to lockups.

Stick with Mckoy’s Information for the most recent updates on this growing case.
