WXOW anchor Heather Armstrong stated she’s leaving the La Crosse, Wisconsin ABC affiliate after 15 years on-air.
“This job has really been an journey – and one I’ve treasured,” Armstrong advised viewers on Monday. She began working on the station in November 2010.
In an emotional goodbye, she advised viewers she wished to spend extra time along with her household.
“Persevering with with late nights whereas my kids regulate to earlier college schedules and new routines simply doesn’t work anymore,” Armstrong stated. “I do know my youngsters will sooner or later perceive the magnitude of this resolution and I hope they’ll be proud; being their mother is one of the best job I’ve ever had.”
The station stated that Roger Staffaroni will substitute Armstrong because the anchor for the 5, 6, and 10 p.m. newscasts beginning Monday, August 18.
Armstrong’s final day is Friday, August 15.
