St. Catherine, Jamaica – The Lavatory Stroll police in St Catherine have launched an investigation into the tragic loss of life of a mechanical engineer who drowned after his car plunged into the Rio Cobre on Tuesday morning.

The deceased has been recognized as 58-year-old Garfield Batts, a mechanical engineer of Lot 118 Saint Rose, Inexperienced Acres, St Catherine.

Experiences reaching McKoy’s Information are that about 7:45 a.m. on July 30, Batts was travelling alongside the Lavatory Stroll Gorge when he reportedly misplaced management of his car, which veered off the roadway and ended up within the Rio Cobre.
