ST ANDREW, Jamaica (McKoy’s Information) — A police constable believed to be on the middle of an unlawful firearms trafficking operation was arrested early Tuesday morning throughout a high-stakes operation in Florence Hill, St Andrew.

The Jamaica Constabulary Drive (JCF) Excessive Command confirmed the arrest in an official assertion, describing the operation as “focused and intelligence-driven.”

In the course of the sting, two prohibited firearms have been reportedly seized, as authorities proceed to crack down on the illicit gun commerce plaguing communities throughout the island.

The arrest varieties a part of a wider, ongoing investigation into the unlawful distribution of firearms — a rising concern for regulation enforcement.

In a hard-hitting assertion, the JCF Excessive Command mentioned:

“Members of the JCF are entrusted with extraordinary powers and public confidence. Any breach of that belief, particularly involving felony conduct, will likely be met with swift and uncompromising penalties. There is no such thing as a place on this organisation for people who search to make use of their place to subvert the regulation.”

This newest growth is being hailed as a serious step within the drive’s offensive in opposition to corruption and gun crimes, which have continued to hazard lives throughout Jamaica.

The Excessive Command reiterated its zero-tolerance stance towards corruption inside its ranks, no matter rank or affiliation, and vowed that additional updates can be shared because the probe progresses.

Keep related with McKoy’s Information for updates as this high-profile investigation unfolds.
