    Man Fatally Shot During Police Confrontation in Old Harbour

    ST CATHERINE, JAMAICA — A person was fatally shot by the police throughout an alleged confrontation in Outdated Harbour, St Catherine, early this morning.

    The deceased, who has not but been recognized, reportedly engaged officers whereas armed with a shotgun.

    In keeping with experiences, round 2:15 a.m., a police workforce was conducting an operation alongside Gordon Wooden Lane in Outdated Harbour after they noticed a person and tried to accost him.

    The police mentioned the person, armed with a loaded shotgun, challenged the officers, who took evasive motion and opened hearth, hitting him.

    The wounded man was assisted to the Spanish City Hospital, the place he was pronounced useless.

    The police confirmed {that a} loaded shotgun was seized throughout the incident.

    The Unbiased Fee of Investigations (INDECOM) has been notified and is probing the matter.
