GREEN ISLAND, Hanover — A 22-year-old bike taxi operator has been charged with rape, abduction, and indecent assault in reference to an incident that occurred within the York Hill district of the parish on February 27.

The accused, Clifton Brissett, in any other case known as ‘Pancho’, is of a Salt Spring, Inexperienced Island tackle.

In line with the Lucea police, at roughly 3:30 p.m. on the day in query, a girl was strolling alongside the roadway when Brissett allegedly approached her, pulled her into close by bushes, and sexually assaulted her.

Following a report made to the police, an investigation was launched. On Could 7, Brissett turned himself in. He was later positively recognized throughout an identification parade and was formally charged on Could 16.

Brissett is scheduled to look within the Hanover Parish Courtroom on Could 20.

    Investigations are ongoing.
