ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — A 24-year-old girl has been charged with acquiring cash by false pretense after allegedly scamming a purchaser out of almost J$1.2 million in a bogus automotive sale.
Selena Inexperienced, of Lakeland, Greendale in St Catherine, is accused of accumulating J$1,185,000 from a complainant on Sunday, April 20, beneath the pretense that she was promoting a motorcar from her father’s automotive mart.
Nevertheless, when the car didn’t materialise, the complainant reported the matter to the police. An investigation revealed that Inexperienced had no car to promote and was not employed at any automotive mart—or wherever in any respect.
Following the probe, Inexperienced was arrested and later charged with acquiring cash by false pretense.
A court docket date is being finalised.
