    Appearing Deputy Director, Workplace of Catastrophe Preparedness and Emergency Administration (ODPEM), Michelle Edwards, addressing the closing ceremony for the ‘Catastrophe Aid Assist for Ladies with and Affected by HIV/AIDS and Gender-based Violence in Jamaica’ venture, held at 4a Hopefield Avenue in Kingston on April 30. Applied by Eve for Life in partnership with ODPEM and Caribbean Catastrophe Emergency Administration Company (CDEMA), the venture aimed to supply focused, gender-sensitive reduction and restoration help to girls and households disproportionately affected by HIV/AIDS and sexual and gender-based violence. It was undertaken by funding from the Caribbean Early Restoration Fund (CERF) and International Affairs Canada.

    Beneficiaries, companions and stakeholders on the closing ceremony for the ‘Catastrophe Aid Assist for Ladies with and Affected by HIV/AIDS and Gender-based Violence in Jamaica’ venture, held at 4a Hopefield Avenue in Kingston on April 30. Applied by Eve for Life in partnership with the Workplace of Catastrophe Preparedness and Emergency Administration (ODPEM) and Caribbean Catastrophe Emergency Administration Company (CDEMA), the venture was developed in direct response to the influence of Hurricane Beryl in July 2024. It aimed to supply focused, gender-sensitive reduction and restoration help to girls and households disproportionately affected by HIV/AIDS and sexual and gender-based violence. With funding from the Caribbean Early Restoration Fund (CERF) and International Affairs Canada, the venture delivered emergency psychosocial companies, meals and hygiene provides, and referrals to essential help companies for these most in danger.
