    “Rum Cream” in Custody After Elderly Farmer Killed in St. Mary

    Gayle, St. Mary, Jamaica –  An aged farmer was allegedly killed within the Gayle neighborhood in St. Mary on Monday.

    The deceased has been recognized as 61-year-old Rollin Henry of Spring.

    In accordance with police experiences, at roughly 12:00 am, Henry and his household smelled smoke emanating from a piece of their home used as a washroom. Henry and his son, each armed with machetes, went to research.

    Upon investigation, they encountered 48-year-old Wendell ‘Rum Cream’ Mills, who was allegedly setting the washroom on fireplace. A confrontation ensued, throughout which Mills allegedly overpowered the 2 males and used one of many machetes to inflict chop wounds to the older Henry’s head and ft. The youthful Henry escaped unhurt.

    Police have been known as to the scene and apprehended Mills, who’s now in custody.

    A resident of the neighborhood described Mills as a “nuisance” and expressed aid at his arrest. The resident said that Mills had beforehand tried to burn down one other resident’s home a number of weeks prior, however the try was thwarted when the home-owner and different residents have been alerted in time. It has been reported that Mills was receiving remedy for a medical situation.
