St. Catherine, Jamaica – Sadeen Inexperienced, who pleaded responsible to the 2017 homicide of 74-year-old Fitz Albert Barnes, was sentenced to life imprisonment on Thursday, April 10, 2025, within the St. Catherine Circuit Courtroom. Justice Bertram Morrison ordered that Inexperienced serve 15 years earlier than being eligible for parole.

The incident occurred on Could 23, 2017, when Inexperienced visited Barnes’ residence on Younger Avenue in Spanish City. An altercation ensued, throughout which Inexperienced struck Barnes on the pinnacle with a hammer. Barnes’ physique, discovered with a number of stab wounds and wrapped in a comforter, was found close to his residence.

In delivering the sentence, Justice Morrison acknowledged that the aggravated circumstances of the case outweighed any mitigating elements, emphasizing the necessity for a sentence that might not shock the general public.

Inexperienced, represented by attorney-at-law Althea Grant, had been in custody since her arrest following an investigation by the Spanish City Felony Investigation Department. She pleaded responsible to homicide on February 25, 2025.
