    Over 1,000 Rounds of Ammunition Discovered in Abandoned Building in St Mary

    St Mary, Jamaica — Police in St Mary made a big ammunition seizure on Thursday after discovering over 1,000 rounds inside an deserted constructing within the Devon Pen group of Castleton.

    In line with police experiences, the operation started round 7:50 a.m. and lasted till 12:00 p.m., throughout which lawmen carried out an in depth search of a four-bedroom concrete construction believed to be unoccupied.

    Throughout the search, officers reportedly uncovered two black buying baggage and one brown bag inside one of many rooms. The luggage have been discovered to include a big cache of ammunition—over 1,000 rounds, though the particular calibres haven’t but been disclosed.

    No arrests have been made in reference to the discover, and the premises stay underneath investigation.

    Authorities say the seizure is a part of continued efforts to crack down on unlawful weapons and ammunition within the parish, which has seen a number of focused operations in latest weeks.

    The St Mary police are urging anybody with data relating to the invention to contact them as investigations proceed.
