    St. Ann Farmer Charged with Murder of One-Year-Old Girl

    St. Ann, Jamaica — A 35-year-old farmer from Golden Grove, St. Ann has been charged with homicide following the loss of life of one-year-old Alayah Michaels, who died underneath suspicious circumstances on Tuesday, April 1.

    The accused, Adain Joseph, was reportedly entrusted with the care of the toddler by her mom on Tuesday, March 27, 2025. In response to police experiences, round 8:30 a.m. on April 1, Joseph took the unresponsive little one to an area well being heart, claiming she grew to become unresponsive whereas being bathed.

    Regardless of efforts by medical personnel to resuscitate the kid, Alayah remained unresponsive and was later transported to the St. Ann’s Bay Hospital, the place she was pronounced lifeless.

    Following her loss of life, detectives launched an in-depth investigation. A autopsy examination carried out on Thursday, April 3, revealed that Alayah died from blunt drive trauma to the pinnacle.

    In the middle of the investigation, Joseph reportedly confessed to the crime and was subsequently charged with homicide.

    His courtroom date is but to be decided.

    The incident has despatched shockwaves by means of the St. Ann neighborhood, as residents and family mourn the tragic lack of younger Alayah.
