    Stephen Bomber Jones Elected to PanAm Boxing Confed Executive

    The Jamaica Boxing Affiliation’s president Stephen Bomber Jones was elected to sit down on the PanAmerican Boxing Confederation govt at its inaugural congress which was held just lately in Panama Metropolis, Panama.

    The congress was a historic occasion that introduced collectively members of the 18 nationwide federations throughout the continent that type this new group. Elise Seignolle (USA) was elected as president of the Confederation, marking the start of a brand new period for Pan American boxing with the purpose of strengthening and selling the game within the area.

    Throughout the congress the proposed agenda was unanimously permitted and the statutes of the PanAmerican Boxing Confederation had been ratified, establishing the authorized and operational foundations of the group.

    The election of the manager committee was carried out with the positions of president, audit and finance committee chair had been elected by acclamation. The complete complement of the manager are listed under:

    President:  Elise Seignolle (USA).

    Vice Presidents:  Ryan O’Shea (Canada) as 1st Vice President and Tomás Cianca (Panama) as 2nd Vice President.

    Govt Board Members:  Marcos Candido Britos (Brazil), Kathy Harper (Barbados), Stephen Jones (Jamaica), Dhany Reyes (Honduras).

    Audit and Finance Committee:  Amabelis Camaño (Panama) as chair and treasurer of the board

    Medical and Anti-Doping Committee:  Dr. Bernardino Santi (Brazil) as Chair.

    Sport and Competitors Committee:  Hernán Salvo (Argentina) as Chair.

    Jones reacted to his election saying, “I’m honoured to have been elected to the Pan-American Boxing Confederation board. It’s an enormous step ahead for Jamaica and Caribbean boxing as being on the board permits us to have direct enter in shaping insurance policies and developmental packages that may affect your entire area. So it offers Jamaica a voice on the determination making desk which ensures that our boxers and packages obtain the mandatory consideration, funding and alternatives to develop on the worldwide stage. So, I believe it’s a giant step and I welcome the chance and the duty.”
