    Mark Henry Honoured by WIBCA for Community Impact

    Mark Henry, President of the Jamaican Affiliation of Montreal, has been honoured by the West Island Black Neighborhood Affiliation (WIBCA) at their annual Honouring Our Kings occasion. The ceremony, held on February 8, acknowledged eight distinguished Black males for his or her excellent contributions to the group.

    Henry, a longtime advocate for the Jamaican diaspora in Montreal, was celebrated for his management, dedication, and efforts to uplift each Jamaicans and the broader Black group in Canada.

    A Nicely-Deserved Recognition

    The Honouring Our Kings occasion goals to acknowledge males who exemplify integrity, perseverance, and a dedication to group service. Alongside Mark Henry, different honorees included:

    • Huge Will
    • Louis-Edgar Jean-Louis
    • Don Clean Garrett
    • Joel DeBellefeuille
    • Svens Telemaque
    • Wizzy
    • Ahmard Lowe

    In an interview with Jamaicans.com, Henry shared his ardour for supporting Jamaica from overseas. “My foremost connection to Jamaica is my annual visits to survey the panorama and see how I can help. I at the moment sponsor a younger man together with his research at Denham City Main Faculty,” he stated.

    Henry has been lively in diaspora affairs, together with attending the Jamaica Diaspora Convention in Kingston. He believes that larger involvement from Jamaicans overseas is essential for the nation’s improvement. “I strongly consider the diaspora can be extra inclined to contribute if we have been a part of the planning course of for Jamaica’s progress,” he said.

    Mark Henry’s Journey & Influence

    Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Henry moved to Montreal at age 16 and pursued a profession in enterprise. He’s a graduate of Vanier School and Concordia College, with expertise in actual property, finance, and provide chain administration. Along with main the Jamaican Affiliation of Montreal, he serves as an ordained minister at Ebenezer Tabernacle Church.

    His management continues to encourage many within the Montreal Jamaican group, fostering initiatives that join Jamaicans overseas with alternatives to offer again to their homeland.

    The West Island Black Neighborhood Affiliation (WIBCA) is a volunteer-driven nonprofit devoted to supporting youth, adults, and seniors by schooling, mentorship, and authorized help. Their applications embody:

    • Scholarship Awards – Supporting college students pursuing increased schooling.
    • Youth Mentoring Group – Empowering younger folks by management and group activism.
    • Free Authorized Clinic – Providing authorized steerage to group members.

    By these initiatives, WIBCA continues to uplift and empower the Black group in Montreal.
