    President Trump Signs Executive Order Banning Transgender Athletes from Women’s Sports

    WASHINGTON, D.C. — On Wednesday, President Donald Trump signed an government order prohibiting transgender athletes from taking part in ladies’s sports activities, marking his newest motion regarding transgender people since his return to workplace.

    “With this government order, the warfare on ladies’s sports activities is over,” President Trump declared in the course of the signing ceremony on the White Home, surrounded by youngsters and feminine athletes. Distinguished Republicans, together with Home Speaker Mike Johnson and Congresswoman Marjorie Inexperienced, attended the occasion.

    “We are going to defend the proud custom of feminine athletes, and we won’t permit males to beat up, injure, and cheat our ladies and our ladies. To any extent further, ladies’s sports activities shall be just for ladies,” Trump added, receiving applause from the viewers.

    The manager order empowers authorities companies to withhold federal funds from academic establishments that let transgender athletes to compete on ladies’s groups. It states: “It’s the coverage of the US to rescind all funds from academic packages that deprive ladies and ladies of truthful athletic alternatives, which leads to the endangerment, humiliation, and silencing of girls and ladies and deprives them of privateness.”

    Moreover, President Trump introduced plans to induce the Worldwide Olympic Committee (IOC) to revise its insurance policies on transgender athletes forward of the 2028 Olympic Video games in Los Angeles. He instructed Secretary of State Marco Rubio to “make it clear” to the IOC that the U.S. seeks adjustments concerning this situation. Moreover, Trump directed Homeland Safety Secretary Kristi Noem to disclaim visa functions from people “trying to fraudulently enter the US whereas figuring out themselves as ladies athletes to try to get into the Video games.”

    Since his second inauguration on January 20, President Trump has issued a number of orders affecting transgender people. These embody directives to take away “transgender ideology” from the navy, successfully banning transgender troops, and proscribing gender transition procedures for people beneath 19.

    These actions have intensified debates over transgender rights within the U.S., with supporters arguing for the safety of girls’s sports activities and opponents expressing considerations over discrimination in opposition to transgender people.
