    Couple Gunned Down in Greenwood Home Invasion

    ST JAMES, Jamaica — Residents of Greenwood, St James, are in shock following a brutal double homicide on Thursday night time that claimed the lives of a Canadian man and his spouse in what police suspect was a focused residence invasion.

    The deceased have been recognized as 61-year-old Clayton Cooke of Casci Avenue in Toronto, Canada, and 37-year-old Gem Cooke, a cashier of Tortuga Drive in Greenwood.

    In keeping with police stories, the assault occurred at roughly 8:10 p.m. when unknown assailants stormed the couple’s residence on Tortuga Drive and opened fireplace. The attackers then fled the scene in a ready motorcar.

    Residents, alarmed by the sound of gunfire, alerted the authorities. Upon arrival, officers found Clayton Cooke slumped towards a gate whereas Gem Cooke lay face down. Each victims have been rushed to the hospital, the place they have been pronounced useless.

    The St James Felony Investigation Department is main the probe into the incident, although no motive has been established as but. Legislation enforcement officers are interesting to anybody with info to come back ahead as they work to trace down the perpetrators.
