    Thirty-year-old Romario Dawkins of Berlin, Springfield district, St Thomas has been charged with possession of prohibited weapon following an incident on Tuesday, January 7.

    Experiences from the Morant Bay police are that about 4am, Dawkins went to the home of a lady with whom he had an intimate relationship, and tried to speak to her.

    The lady reportedly observed a handgun in Dawkins’ hand whereas he was speaking to her, and have become intimidated.

    The matter was reported to the police by the lady, and Dawkins was subsequently arrested.

    He was charged for the offence following a question-and-answer session within the presence of an lawyer.

    His court docket date is being finalised.
