    $9.3M Ganja Seizure: Three Men Charged After Toms River Bust

    ST MARY, Jamaica — Police have charged three males in reference to the seizure of over 3,000 kilos of ganja, value practically $9.3 million, throughout a late-night operation at Toms River on the St Mary-St Andrew border final Friday.

    The accused are:

    • Heron Brown, 50, farmer from St Elizabeth
    • Wade Richards, 30, vendor from St Catherine
    • Delroy Wilson, 28, of Portland

    All three face fees of possession, trafficking, dealing, and conspiracy to site visitors ganja, in addition to taking steps to export the drug.

    Stories are that about 9:00 p.m., members of the Firearms and Narcotics Investigation Division (FNID) intercepted two automobiles within the space. Inside, police found greater than 350 parcels of ganja.

    Two Haitian nationals had been additionally arrested on the scene and stay in custody as investigations proceed.

    Based on Appearing Senior Superintendent of Police Patrae Rowe, these large-scale drug seizures are essential in disrupting the guns-for-drugs commerce, which provides firearms to criminals throughout Jamaica.

    “The worth of the medicine seized thus far this 12 months may have armed a whole bunch of criminals with rifles and handguns,” Rowe stated, including that over 40,000 kilos of ganja and 1,700 kilos of cocaine have already been intercepted in 2025.
