    366 roads deaths recorded one more than entire 2024

    4 highway deaths on the weekend, have pushed Jamaica’s tally up to now this 12 months, to 366, yet another than the 2024 total toll.

    The newest deadly crashes occurred in Westmoreland and Manchester.

    They claimed the lives of three males and a girl.

    In the latest incident, at about 8:05am yesterday, 58 year-old Judith Morgan of Georges Valley, Manchester was killed when the automotive she was travelling in veered off the brand new inexperienced highway within the parish and over a precipice.

    One other lady and two youngsters sustained accidents and have been hospitalised in steady situation.

    And hours earlier, 23-year-old Shacquile Goldbourne of Warwick District, Cross Keys, Manchester, died following a collission alongside the useful resource essential highway within the parish.

    Police say at about 3:00 a.m., Goldbourne was driving a motorbike alongside the highway with a pillion passenger, when he misplaced management of the bike which collided with a tree.

    Goldbourne and the pillion have been flung from the bike.

    Goldbourne was pronounced useless at hospital whereas the pillion was admitted for therapy.

    And two motorcyclists have been killed in a crash on the intersection of mint highway and Grange Hill Important Street in Westmoreland on Saturday.

    The crash occurred at round 10am.

    Vice Chairman of the Nationwide Street Security Council, Dr. Lucien Jones is asking for stronger measures to forestall highway crashes.
