Manchester, Jamaica | August 5, 2025 – McKoy’s Information: The Prospect major street in South Manchester became a scene of heartbreak Tuesday afternoon as 11-year-old Malique Barnes, a promising scholar of Bull Savannah Main, tragically misplaced his life after being mowed down by a business automobile.

Reviews reaching McKoy’s Information are that shortly earlier than 4:00 p.m., younger Barnes was using his bicycle when he was struck by the automobile, sending shockwaves via the quiet rural neighborhood.

Relations have since confirmed his identification. Barnes had been attending casual summer time classes hosted by a relative at their residence. His household described him as a useful and hardworking youngster who typically assisted his mom on the farm, even into the evening.

In response to family members, the boy was centered, wanting to study, and all the time keen to assist across the residence and neighborhood.

The South Manchester police have launched a full investigation into the deadly crash. The motive force of the business automobile is presently being questioned by authorities.

Because the neighborhood mourns the tragic loss, renewed calls are being made for stronger street security measures, particularly alongside busy rural routes used continuously by youngsters.
